90 Day Fiancé and its various spin-offs have featured a diverse range of cast members throughout the years. The majority of the franchise’s couples have fit into the franchise’s traditional mold, involving an American in a relationship with someone overseas. However, there have been some exceptions to this over the years. These four cast members were never involved in relationships with individuals abroad, and found other ways to join the franchise.
Veronica Rodriguez
Veronica Rodriguez has become a prominent figure in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, although she had a nontraditional start. The North Carolina native made her franchise debut on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days Season 3, although her appearance was brief. Veronica supported her best friend and ex-boyfriend Tim Malcolm, when he traveled to Colombia to meet his then-girlfriend Jeniffer Tarazona.
While Tim’s relationship with Jeniffer was short-lived, he and Veronica later became fan favorites on Pillow Talk. This eventually led to Veronica becoming a full time cast member during 90 Day: The Single Life Season 3. Veronica returned again for The Single Life Season 4, where her relationship with Jamal Menzies eventually came to an end.
During both of their respective relationship’s, Veronica and Tim’s close friendship was a big issue for their partners. Nonetheless, the two are still best friends today.
Liz Woods
Another popular 90 Day Fiancé cast member who entered the franchise in an interesting way is Liz Woods. Liz first appeared on The Single Life Season 1, when Ed Brown took an interest in her. The two began a relationship, but broke up multiple times by the end of the season. Liz later returned at the end of The Single Life Season 2, when she got engaged to Ed during the shocking finale.
Liz officially joined as a main cast member with Ed during 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Season 7. The couple was still engaged, but struggled to work through many issues in their relationship. Ed and Liz then went on to star on 90 Day: The Last Resort, where they spent two weeks in couples therapy. Currently, the couple is starring on Happily Ever After? Season 8, where they are planning their wedding.
Debbie Johnson
Debbie Johnson originally appeared on 90 Day Fiancé Season 6 as a parent. Debbie’s son Colt Johnson originally found love with Larissa Lima, who moved to Las Vegas from Brazil to marry him. Colt and Larissa’s marriage was short-lived, and the couple’s split was later documented on Happily Ever After? Seasons 4 and 5. Debbie played a big role in Colt’s relationship, and many viewers accused her of being too overbearing.
After Colt’s break-up with Larissa, he returned for another chance at love during The Single Life Season 1. Debbie was once again a large part of Colt’s story line, this time with Vanessa Guerra. While Debbie had a much better relationship with Vanessa than she did with Larissa, she still caused some issues between them. Eventually Colt stopped talking to Debbie for a period of time, which was difficult for her.
Debbie returned to The Single Life Season 2 for her own journey for love. After being widowed for over ten years, Debbie finally felt ready to get back out on the dating scene. While she was unsuccessful during Season 2, Debbie found long lasting love with Tony Starcevich during Season 3. Debbie and Tony are still together today, and she has since moved to Canada to be with him.
John McManus
John McManus first appeared on 90 Day Fiancé Season 9, along with his brother Patrick Mendes and his now wife Thaís Ramone. Thaís butted heads with John throughout the season, and felt that he was constantly inserting himself into her relationship with Patrick. Viewers, on the other hand, loved John for his witty sense of humor and honesty.
After becoming so popular with fans, John was cast on The Single Life Season 4. John ended up finding love with Megan Brown, and eventually moved to Texas to be with her. During the Tell All, John shocked viewers when he decided to propose to Megan. John has certainly come a long way on his 90 Day Fiancé journey!
