TransSiberian is a 2008 psychological thriller directed by Brad Anderson and starring Emily Mortimer, Woody Harrelson, Kate Mara, Eduardo Noriega, and Ben Kingsley. After completing a Christian mission in China, Jessie (Mortimer) and Roy (Harrelson) decide to take the train from Beijing to Moscow to reconnect with each other before returning home. Jessie is a bit more cautious around others while people person Roy befriends seasoned travelers Carlos (Noriega) and Abby (Mara). After an unfortunate error causes Roy to separate from the group, weary Jessie must rely upon the quiet Abby and overly flirtatious Carlos in a foreign country. A sudden crime leads Jessie right into the path of a suspicious detective (Kingsley) eager to find out what Jessie is hiding at any cost.

A character-driven piece starting as a slow burn that rapidly rides off the track, TransSiberian is an examination of the terrifying trap one can fall into when trying to cover up a lie.
