This scam operates through platforms like Telegram, where interested parties are solicited and asked to pay a fee upfront. We have no association whatsoever with these fraudulent schemes.
Several concerned individuals have reached out to us seeking clarification on the legitimacy of these offers. We urge you not to engage with or provide any financial information to these fraudulent entities. Instead, please see the rest of this article for steps you can take to report the scam.
If you believe you have been affected by this scam, we recommend contacting your bank immediately to seek their advice. If you encounter a scammer on Telegram, please report them by following the steps listed below:
1. Open the chat with the scammer.
2. Tap on their profile picture to open their profile.
3. Click on the three dots in the top right corner.
4. Select “Report” and choose the appropriate reason for reporting.
Please also email us at support@the-numbers.com and provide us with the user ID of Telegram account that sent you the message, and the URL of the web site they sent you to.
Depending on where you live, law enforcement may be able to help. For example, in the US, cyber crimes can be reported to the FBI at ic3.gov.
Note that the websites listed below are the only valid websites associated with our company. URLs similar to these are fraudulent and should be avoided.
