Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10 Episode 3 Recap

Welcome back, Below Deck Mediterranean fans! Last week, tensions on deck rose to an all-time high. This team lacks “urgency,” as Nathan, Max, and Captain Sandy are all noting. Overall, Nathan has his hands full this season. And unfortunately, his problems are far from letting up, as evidenced on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10 Episode 3, “Excess Baggage.”

What happened in Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10 Episode 3?

These crew members are busy, thanks to their demanding guests. But when the deck team makes mistake after mistake, their errors result in not one, but two different humans getting stranded out in the sea. Cue an exhausted Nathan and a very frustrated Captain Sandy.

Max asks Christian to return a hose to the sundeck. But Christian takes too long. As their voices rise, Nathan enters. He tries to hear them out, but they start fighting again, so Nathan gives up and asks them to sort it out later.

As they turn the yacht over, Aesha teaches V a few tricks. In her confessional, Aesha notes that paint is expensive, so she needs a solid team to help her earn big tips. The camera shows her fiancé at home, making repairs to their first house.

Max likes Kizzi, the same girl Aesha is pretending to teabag in another room. As they exit their sprinter vans a few beats later, Aesha tells Nathan that Max is charming. So, if he likes Kizzi, he needs to act quickly. “Aesha, I don’t lose,” Nathan answers.

In his talking head, Nathan recalls his Season 9 boatmance with Gael Cameron. This season, he only wants a casual fling.

At a restaurant, Max reveals his plans to one day run a hypnosis clinic. Over in confessional, Christian makes fun of Max. But at the table, Josh supports Max.

Kizzi wants to bedazzle her vagina. This statement catches Nathan’s attention. But when Tommy, her boyfriend, shoots her a text, Nathan, Max, and Christian all express their shock and disappointment in their confessionals. Josh does too, but his is extra, because he does it in full clown attire.

The male deckhands leave the table for a smoke break. Here, Max and Christian hug it out. Inside the restaurant, Kizzi announces that she left her “last boat with three STDs.” As everyone laughs, the men return to the table, and everyone heads out to a club.

Christian and Max dance together, making Max joke that he might fall in love with this man. Their relationship gives me whiplash. Tessa agrees.

Kizzi tells Josh that her boyfriend trusts her “completely.” But as everyone turns their attentions to the very single V on the dancefloor, Kizzi gets up and turns their eyes back on her. The males watch in approval as she twerks on Aesha.

Back on the yacht, Kizzi FaceTimes Tommy. Christian comes behind Kizzi to tell her man that she is “a keeper.” When Kizzi reveals her plans to head to the hot tub, Tommy reminds her that she has a boyfriend.

In the crew mess, Max hypnotizes Christian with the intent of getting him to move quickly on deck. Meanwhile, Nathan phones Gael. In his interview, he admits to missing her presence this season. But he also knows that he f*cked things up with her, so maybe it is time to move on.

    A new charter group arrives

The next morning, Nathan holds a meeting. His team needs to show “way more urgency,” he says. Nathan makes it clear that Max is his “reference point,” so when he asks Christian to do something, Christian must obey.

In her meeting, Aesha recognizes Jack, their incoming primary charter guest, from two seasons ago. His requests are “specific,” so the pressure is on.

Tessa finds Max. Christian told her not to clean an area, she says. Max calls Christian on the radio. Christian denies saying anything, but a flashback shows otherwise.

The boys start fighting. Nathan will turn them in to Captain Sandy if they keep this up, he warns. The guests arrive. The deck team successfully gets the yacht off the dock, and likewise, the first meal served goes off without a hitch, but Jack wants some chicken soon.

Even still, Aesha is worried about Josh’s sanity with these demanding guests.

Nathan reminds his team that everyone needs to wear a life vest. The guests also need to receive instructions for the SEABOB and eFoils. But alas, Christian sends Sam, one of their guests, off without any notes other than, “You’ll get it.”

Several beats later, Sam drifts away. “Tessa and Christian have no idea what they are doing,” Captain Sandy remarks. Nathan rescues Sam. In her interview, Tessa notes that Nathan is the problem, citing his lack of guidance, which flashbacks once again prove inaccurate.

Josh prepares a requested “truffle-forward menu.” Max enters the galley as the first plates are served and eats several truffles. Realizing one guest does not have any, Josh sends Aesha down to grab the extras, but a now-silent Max ate them all. Thankfully, Josh finds another jar.

Every guest but Jack goes to bed. Jack asks Kizzi for “a Sichuan chicken.” Christian tries to help Kizzi, but Nathan tells him to return to his checklist. Kizzi brings her attempt to Jack, laughing, because Jack has already fallen asleep.

The next morning, Nathan gives Tessa instructions that she fails to understand, as Christian starts drifting away on a non-starting jet ski. They are “dead weight,” Nathan realizes.

Below Deck Mediterranean continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
