Elizabeth Holmes & Nathan Fielder Tell Clayface Whos Boss Over Halloween Weekend As Docu Notches $11.4M No. 1

Elizabeth Holmes & Nathan Fielder Tell Clayface Whos Boss Over Halloween Weekend As Docu Notches .4M No. 1

MONDAY AM UPDATE: A24’s You Can See Everything had everything to deceive Warner Bros/DC’s Clayface into making the Paramount-owned studio and rivals believe the genre pic was No. 1 over the sleepy Halloween weekend. The Nathan Fielder- and Lance Oppenheim-directed documentary wound up winning the weekend with $11.44 million after a huge Sunday of $4.296M (+19% over Saturday), which saw older female moviegoers come back after sitting out on Halloween Saturday.

Sunday was You Can See Everything‘s biggest day of the weekend, topping Friday’s $3.56M and Saturday’s $3.58M.

Warners in a press release Sunday believed it had the No. 1 domestic slot with a $10.4M weekend for Clayface. Other studios believed that as well, thinking the gap between the DC movie and the three-hour A24 documentary was anywhere from $200K-$500K. So, deceived well you have, Mr. Fielder and Elizabeth Holmes. Duly note that A24 called the weekend at No. 1, so clearly it tells more truths than Holmes did about Theranos. The running cume for You Can See Everything is $64.7M.

Clayface came in with $11M after a $3.4M Sunday, off 20% from Halloween Saturday but still better than the $2.8M the studio was expecting. Clayface remains No. 1 worldwide in its second weekend with $23.5M. Clayface‘s domestic tally is $44.7M.

Laika’s theatrical release of stop-motion animated title Wildwood via Fathom Entertainment also came in higher with $8.9M, -27%, in its second weekend, with a running cume of $27.3M. Sunday at $3.7M was higher than the $2.4M expected.

Fourth is Black Bear’s Wicker, also coming in higher with a second weekend of $4.36M, -24% versus the reported $4.1M, after a better than expected Sunday of $1.6M. That hold is on par with the second ease of Focus Features’ 2024 drama Conclave. Wicker‘s running cume is $13.4M. Anecdotally, a matinee show Sunday at the Westwood Cinemas in L.A. was sold out, as UCLA students made a post-Halloween destination for the period sex comedy directed by Eleanor Wilson and Alex Huston.

SUNDAY AM UPDATE: Warner Bros’ Clayface with all his trick-or-treat attitude thinks he’s No. 1 for the weekend with $10.4 million. But A24’s You Can See Everything is reporting $10.6M.

Clayface won Halloween with $4.2M, while Nathan Fielder and Elizabeth Holmes’ doc collected $3.58M from moviegoers. Sunday looks to belong to the latter duo with $3.45M. Clayface is looking at $2.8M today, and we hear You Can See Everything is already ahead of the DC pic in its hourlies.

A source remarked that You Can See Everything is always ahead in the hourlies as its older female audience buys advance tickets; You Can See Everything was ahead in hourlies last weekend against Clayface and the James Watkins-directed movie still won. Some rivals show Clayface with the overall 3-day edge for No. 1 by a gap of $200,000-$500,000. The fight will continue into Monday AM.

All pics grossed an estimated $62.2M, down 38% from last weekend, and, oy, the third lowest-grossing weekend of the year ahead of January 23-25 ($54.7M) and February 6-8 ($61.9M, when Send Help opened). Next year, Halloween falls on a Sunday, which is better but still not overall great for business.

Clayface is No. 1 worldwide with $22.8M and an $83M running cume. You Can See Everything is only open in Turkey at 120 locations (wide for the market) and hits Australia/New Zealand on November 12, with the UK on November 20, so no big grosses yet.

Netflix opened Peter Berg’s World War II movie The Mosquito Bowl in 349 locations to $455,000 with a per-theater of $1,300. We’re hearing that results were flat. Look, this is going to happen with some Netflix limited releases. Grosses won’t always be dazzling, and it also depends on how much marketing heft the streamer devotes to a theatrical push in weekend 1 — not to mention the wider they go, the bigger the gross (duh).

It will be interesting to see the pop that The Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth gets in AMC Imax during its Thanksgiving run. In regards to Regal and Cinemark, they’ll be playing Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping in Imax over the holiday.

SATURDAY AM: Both A24’s You Can See Everything and Warner Bros/DC’s Clayface remain above $10M in what isn’t the worst weekend this year at the domestic box office, but close with all titles grossing north of $63M.

However, sources believe Elizabeth Holmes and Nathan Fielder are more alluring than a DC complex character whose face is melting, hence the 3 hour documentary has the edge, and also a shot at $11M. Meanwhile, A24 is celebrating that they’re crossing the half billion mark at the domestic B.O. YTD, their highest ever.

Exits for Clayface remain strong on Screen Engine/Rentrak’s PostTrak with 68% definite recommend and 4 1/2 stars and an 85% positive with guys leading the way at 63%. Given that it’s the third week of You Can See Everything, its exits are no longer tracking on PostTrak.

It’s set to rain in LA tonight. Typically in this market, folks stay off the road, but we’ll see if they take shelter in cinemas. The worst weekend of 2026 belongs to Jan. 23-25 ($54.8M) when the Amazon MGM Studios’ sci-fi title Mercy starring Chris Pratt opened.

    Here’s a breakdown of the top 10:

    1.) You Can See Everything (A24) 3,243 (+588) theaters, Fri $3.56M (-42%) 3-day $10.8M (-42%), Total $64M/Wk 3

    2.) Clayface (WB) 3,478 (+20) theaters, Fri $3.25M (-69%), 3-day $10.4M (-57%), Total $44M/Wk 2

    3.) Wildwood (Fath/Laika) 3,103 (+261) theaters, Fri $2.39M (-44%), 3-day $7.1M (-42%), Total $25.4M/Wk 2

    4.) Wicker (Black Bear) 2,374 (+903) theaters, Fri $1.43M (-39%), 3-day $4M (-30%), total $13M/Wk 2
Black Bear rolled this out similar to Focus Features’ Conclave two years ago, at the end of October. (They also had some 4DX theaters, which provided a wild ride for those who purchased tickets). Wicker‘s running cume by end of Sunday will be pacing 13% behind Conclave‘s through 10 days. PostTrak on this Olivia Colman- and Alexander Sargaard-starring Topic Studios production is an amazing 5 stars, with a strong 74% definite recommend and 73% female. The over 35 is 52%. Black Bear, which has struggled in its U.S. launch, looks to have found its footing here. Here’s what’s remarkable: Last weekend at 1,471 theaters, this specialty period title won women over, and spoke to them in a way that a star-studded major studio release aimed at women — that being Sony’s Klara and the Sun starring Jenna Ortega and Amy Adams — did not. That Taika Waititi-directed fantasy drama sunsetted at $1M for the week. This weekend, Sony has stopped reporting the pic’s second-weekend grosses, but the PostTrak exits hit showing that the net high $20M-$40M production didn’t connect with 2 stars and an awful 40% definite recommend with 73% woman as the dominant (though low in attendance) share, and the few Ortega fans showing up with 18-24 at 36%.

    5.) Street Fighter (Par) 2,825 (-750) theaters, Fri $1M (-55%) 3-day $3.5M (-59%), Total $53.3M/Wk 3

    6.) BTS: World Tour AiriRang… (Traf) 1,010 theaters, Fri $2M, 3-day $3M, total $3M/Wk 1
Solid ticket sales in Albuquerque, Toronto, Tampa, L.A. and New York.

    7.) Resident Evil (Sony) 1,943 (-205) theaters, Fri $705K 3-day $2.3M (-21%), Total $157.1M/Wk 7

    8.) Other Mommy (Uni) 2,329 (-469) theaters Fri $750K (-36%) 3-day $2.25M (-42%), Total $55.3M/Wk 4

    9.) The Only Living Pickpocket in New York (SPC) 1,112 (+1,106) theaters, Fri $877K (+1439%), 3-day $1.98M (+1334%), Total $2.18M/Wk 2
The John Turturro crime noir, which Sony Pictures Classics picked up out of Sundance (as we first told you), is 97% certified fresh with critics and 87% with audiences on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie is doing well in New York, but in its greater play across fresher markets not so much.

    10.) Aadarsha Kutumbam House No: 47 367 theaters, Fri $670K 3-day $1.66M/Wk 1
The Trivikram Srinivas-written and -directed action comedy posted big ticket sales in Austin, Dallas, Toronto, Seattle, DC, Atlanta, San Francisco and New York City. Cinemark is counting 55% of the gross.

    Notables:

    Christmas at the Kringles (Briar) 1,825 locations, Fri $370K, 3-day $675K/Wk 1
Still a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes from 25 reviews and no recorded audience score. Any money being made is coming from the South. The Regal Irvine Spectrum counts $5K, by far the movie’s top-grossing location.

FRIDAY PM UPDATE: Halloween’s trick on the weekend domestic box office is currently seeing a fight between A24’s You Can See Everything and Warner Bros/DC’s Clayface with $10M+ apiece, though the odds are in favor the incarcerated failed Theranos founder versus a Gotham celebrity whose face melts.

You Can See Everything is counting $3.2M today for a $10M-$11M third weekend take, while Clayface is eyeing $3.1M and a $10M+ second frame. By Sunday, that would take the running cume for the Lance Oppenheim and Nathan Fielder documentary to $63.7M on the high end and the James Watkins-directed DC movie to $43.7M.

Laika’s Wildwood via Fathom at 2,900 is seeing a second Friday of $2.1M and second weekend of $6.8M, -44%, for a running cume of $25.1M.

RELATED: ‘You Can See Everything’ Review: Shocking Elizabeth Holmes Documentary With Nathan Fielder Is Like No Other You Have Ever Seen – Telluride Film Festival

Fourth is Black Bear’s second weekend of R-rated femme sex comedy Wicker, which could see a post-Halloween boost on Sunday from female audiences. Second Friday is $1.2M, and the second weekend is around $3.5M at 2,374, for a -39% hold and a running total of $12.7M.

Fifth is Paramount/Legendary’s third weekend of Street Fighter at 2,825 sites for a $1M third Friday and $3.3M third weekend, -61% for a running total by Sunday of $53.1M.

PREVIOUS FRIDAY AM: Fueled by nonstop memes on social, not to mention, Elizabeth Holmes and Nathan Fielder being the “it” Halloween costumes, A24’s You Can See Everything is destined to lead the sluggish holiday frame with around $10M+, we hear.

Far and away, the three-hour documentary co-directed by Lance Oppenheim is the sales leader, we understand as of today; the pic expected to ease by around 40% from its second-weekend take of $19.5M.

You Can See Everything ends its second week with $27.1M and a 14-day cume of $52.7M vs. Warner Bros/DC’s Clayface, which ends its first week with $33.6M. That James Watkins-directed Batman villain spinoff is hoping to ease by 60% in its second weekend, which is on the high end for a genre movie.

While Michael Moore’s Fahreinheit 9/11 is the highest-grossing non-nature, non-concert documentary with $119.1M domestic, docs that You Can See Everything already has surpassed stateside include Moore’s Bowling for Columbine ($21.5M, 2022), Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth ($24.1M, 2006) and the Leonardo DiCaprio-narrated Hubble 3D ($52.5M, 2010).

With rain expected in B.O. capital Los Angeles on Saturday and the buzz still hot on You Can See Everything, will moviegoers take three hours out of their festivities to see this movie? Typically, horror movies, like Clayface, lead on Halloween, but we’re dealing with an anomaly here.

The latest mania on social for You Can See Everything:

Similar to last year, Halloween is landing on the weekend, and that spells doom for the box office. Last year, the holiday fell on a Friday with all pics grossing $57.3M over Friday-Sunday (the fifth-lowest-grossing weekend of 2025). The previous times Halloween fell on a Saturday were Covid 2020 (when a majority of theaters were closed) and 2015 (The Martian led the weekend with a $11.7M fifth frame, and the overall weekend grossed $74.1M). Some box office sources argue that the weekend might not get sucker-punched as bad as we think: Unlike Super Bowl weekend, moviegoers still can make it to matinees Saturday or attend tonight.

    ‘Christmas at the Kringles’

Nonetheless, it’s not a time for the major studios to waste their time or money on opening a wide release. The most notable wide release this weekend is Briarcliff Entertainment’s Kevin Lewis-directed indie holiday slasher Christmas at the Kringles at 1,825 theaters. The pic brought in $200K in previews last night and is expected to do in the low single digits over the weekend. Blurb for the movie starring Ron Livingston, Rob Riggle, Rachel Bilson and Tom Lennon: The Severson family moves to a suburban neighborhood where their neighbors, the Kringles, celebrate Christmas year-round and harbor sinister intentions to hypnotize and indoctrinate them. Rotten Tomatoes critical score is gulp, 0%.

Other pics opening this weekend include Roadside Attractions’ Joshua Live! at 1,230 theaters and Samuel Goldwyn Films’ Liam Neeson-Marisa Tomei actioner The Mongoose at 1,000 locations.

Also, going wider is Black Bear’s critically acclaimed female pleaser Wicker, from 1,471 sites to an estimated 2,374 locations.

    Here’s the week’s top 5:

    1. Clayface (WB) 3,458 theaters, $33.7M/Wk 1

    2. You Can See Everything (A24) 2,655 theaters, Wk $27.1M (+6%), Total $52.7M/Wk 2

    3. Wildwood (Fath/Laika) 2,745 theaters, Wk $18.3M/Wk 1
First week result here for Laika’s latest is higher than the first week of Travis Knight’s Kubo and the Two Strings ($17M), already ahead of the lifetime of their last movie, 2019’s The Missing Link ($16.6M), and under ParaNorman ($19.6M), Coraline ($20.2M) and The Boxtrolls ($20.1M).

    4. Street Fighter (Par) 3,575 theaters, Wk $11.4M (-70%), Total $49.8M/Wk 2

    5. Wicker (Black) 1,471 theaters, Wk $9.2M/Wk 1
