We love it when Stephen King calls attention to movies that most of us already love. This happened when fellow writer Daniel Kraus asked Twitter for indie films that only give a glimpse of the larger-scale horror.
Because Stephen King has consumed more media than most of us, he probably has a ton of recommendations for just an event. However, his go-to was Pontypool. From all the comments his tweet has gotten, it seems he is not alone in his love for this gem either.

The 2008 Canadian horror film has developed quite a following since its premiere. However, if you’re unfamiliar with this beloved title, allow us to introduce you to Pontypool.
Rotten Tomatoes Synopsis
“When disc jockey Grant Mazzy (Stephen McHattie) reports to his basement radio station in the Canadian town of Pontypool, he thinks it’s just another day at work. But when he hears reports of a virus that turns people into zombies, Mazzy barricades himself in the radio booth and tries to figure out a way to warn his listeners about the virus and its unlikely mode of transmission: the English language.”
