RHOSLC’s Lisa Barlow Is Coming Across as the Season 5 Villain

RHOSLC’s Lisa Barlow Is Coming Across as the Season 5 Villain

I’ve never wavered in my support for Lisa Barlow when it comes to the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. The Sundance Queen is fiery, wise, and has one-liners that leave Mary Cosby with no words. To say she is one of the favorite Bravolebs is probably an understatement. But it hasn’t gone unnoticed that Season 5 is really sketching her out to be the new villain. And sometimes I think she can’t help herself but play into that role. I didn’t know I needed ‘bad girl’ Lisa on my screen but I have to admit she is working her new role very well.

Everyone is on a witch hunt for Lisa Barlow

Lisa spent the entire trip to Palm Springs in a fight for her life. Everywhere she turned, she was getting hammered by an accusation. But these things happen when you don’t apologize for your actions and act like you’re never wrong. John Barlow, at one point, added, “It feels like it’s nonstop. It’s like: Lisa breathes; she did something wrong. “Lisa sneezes; she did something wrong. What next? Whose turn is it to yell at Lisa?”

But I have to be honest. Lisa isn’t acting like Glinda the Good Witch if a friend is thinking of kicking them off a luxury trip. The Vida Tequila owner doubled down on her claims about Whitney Rose and threw in an extra jab at Justin Rose for good measure. And when Angie’s husband tried to call out her “abusive” behavior, she brushed him off. Lisa was sorry, not sorry for her attitude, noting if people don’t understand her that’s on them. I do love a villain who embraces their true self. Lisa is like the Maleficent of Salt Lake City, beautiful and misunderstood.

Lisa Barlow refuses to fly coach

As we learned in the most recent episode of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Lisa doesn’t wear Coach, and she doesn’t fly coach. But who knew Lisa would deliver such an epic meltdown? The entire tantrum over a 47-minute seat in the economy was actually absurd and delusional. The words “Oh my God. I’m in 17C. Look. I am in 17C” will haunt my dreams. The idea of missing out on a bit of extra legroom and a snack was too much for this Bravo star to bear, and she let everyone know it.

Lisa scrambled to upgrade to no avail. She even went as far as to reroute herself through LAX, which is lunacy (if you know, you know). Bronwyn Newport said it best, sharing, “This is not the Brat Summer I hoped we were headed toward.” While I love Lisa’s usual antics, this entire episode gave me pause. She acted selfishly and didn’t care for anyone else’s feelings. It was something to witness Lisa morphing from a confident snowflake into the most annoying cast member yet.

Lisa Barlow hasn’t been the nicest to the Greek Goddess

Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but their feud started after Lisa claimed Angie Katsanevas was using her daughter to cut her phone calls short. In response, Angie clapped back, stating she doesn’t use video games as babysitters. The women were left hurt and upset that anyone would question their parenting skills. But there might be more than meets the eye for the former friends. While talking with Bravo, Angie shared a behind-the-scenes conversation. “There was a conversation — Lisa was upset with me about something. I was on speaker. She was yelling at me to the point where I just couldn’t take it anymore.”

Angie continued, “She wanted my blind loyalty on something. She was yelling at me to the point to where I was in tears.” This version of events matches what her husband Sean Trujillo had referenced in Palm Springs. Angie alleged that Lisa wanted screenshots of Angie’s conversation with someone else.” According to Angie, “I told her what I said in this conversation, and she didn’t believe me. Which right then and there I thought, ‘Wow,’ she doesn’t trust me, and she’s threatening me like, ‘I want to see the conversation because I don’t believe you.’”

I don’t like to point the finger, but that feels very villainous to me.
