Taylor Swift has reacted to her track ‘…Ready for It?’ being used in an NBC advert for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
NBC released an advert promoting their Olympics coverage and used a live tour recording of Taylor Swift’s 2017 track. The video featured appearances from Team USA Olympic stars including LeBron James, Jagger Eaton, Carissa Moore and more, and ended with a close-up of gymnast Simone Biles who smiles and then quotes the Taylor Swift lyric “Are you guys ready for it?”.
“So ready to scream at my TV cheering for these athletes,” Swift posted on her Instagram stories while reposting the NBC advert – accompanied by a medal emoji.

The pop icon shared the Olympics advert on her Instagram story on Saturday night (July 27) following her show at Olympiastadion in Munich, Germany, where she performed on both Saturday and Sunday night.
Local police in Munich estimated that 45,000 fans who couldn’t get tickets to the show were congregating on the hills outside to listen to Swift.
The Eras Tour is now moving to Warsaw, Poland, and then going to Vienna in Austria. From August 15 Taylor Swift will be coming back to London for a five-night stint at Wembley Stadium.
Last Friday (July 26) Lady Gaga, Céline Dion, Gojira and more performed at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony.
Heavy metal band Gojira performed a cover of ‘Ah, Ça Ira!’ (which translates to ‘It’ll be fine’), a song that was popular during the French Revolution, during a segment titled ‘Liberté’ (in reference to France’s famed motto ‘Liberté, égalité, fraternité’).
The band appeared on the side of a castle surrounded by fire and bursts of red streamers to represent blood, and came on after a segment that paid homage to Les Miserables and a beheaded Marie Antoinette appeared on screen.
Although it was speculated that Lady Gaga and Céline Dion would do a duet together at the Olympic ceremony, they performed separately.
Gaga sang French cabaret number ‘Mon truc en plumes’ (the title translates to ‘My thing with feathers’) on some steps by the river Seine.
“I feel so completely grateful to have been asked to open the Paris @Olympics 2024 this year,” she wrote on Instagram.
Céline Dion performed Edith Piaf’s ‘L’Hymne A L’Amour’, which was notably her first live performance since she revealed that she suffers from stiff person syndrome (SPS).
