Shudder has given The Devil’s Bath a release date for the streaming service, which will come after it premieres at Tribeca 2024.
The film, directed by Goodnight Mommy duo Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala, had its debut at the Berlinale Film Festival earlier this year, but Tribeca will mark its US premiere date.

It will then head to Shudder, the horror streaming service, on June 28, 2024.
In 1750 Austria, a deeply religious woman named Agnes has just married her beloved, but her mind and heart soon grow heavy as her life becomes a long list of chores and expectations. Day after day, she is increasingly trapped in a murky and lonely path leading to evil thoughts, until the possibility of committing a shocking act of violence seems like the only way out of her inner prison. Giving a voice to the invisible and unheard women of the rural past, The Devil’s Bath is based on historical court records about a shocking, hitherto unexplored chapter of European history.
The Devil’s Bath stars Anja Plaschg (The Dreamed Ones), Maria Hofstätter (Paradise Trilogy), David Scheld, Natalya Baranova (Rimini), and Claudia Martini. It is produced by Heimatfilm Productions and Ulrich Seidl Productions (Paradise Trilogy) in coproduction with Heimatfilm and Coop99 Filmproduktion.
“We are more than proud that our latest movie, The Devil’s Bath, found a home at Shudder,” said directors Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala when the film was first acquired in February. “We greatly appreciate their love for a film that can’t be put into a box easily, a movie that tackles the horrors of depression and aims to give a voice to women who have been unheard throughout history.”
