With Spring around the corner, and CinemaCon just under two weeks away, the latest issue of The Numbers Business Report looks ahead to the rest of 2024. Our latest prediction for each wide release appearing through the end of the year, and our total market forecast, is included. This month’s feature article looks at the films that aren’t currently on the release schedule but that we hope to see come to theaters in 2024. We found 31 of them in total, including a big-budget family-friendly animated movie, blockbuster dramas, horror movies, a documentary tailor-made for July 4 weekend, and much, much more.
We also published our estimate of the average theatrical ticket price in 2023, a key metric for the industry. We’ll share that analysis in the next week or so here on The Numbers (spoiler alert, we’re already using it in our market analysis charts).
