Will Farmer Wants a Wife return for Season 3?
FOX has renewed Farmer Wants a Wife for Season 3. The new season will premiere March 20 at 9/8c.
Fans assumed the show would return because a casting call for farmers, ranchers, and eligible single ladies was put out ahead of the renewal. According to the casting call, the leads and contestants had to be available to film “sometime between August and October 2024,” but that is subject to change.
Who will be the stars of Farmer Wants a Wife Season 3?
We don’t know the farmers of the third season just yet, but they’ve clearly already been chosen!
Who is the host of Season 3?
Jennifer Nettles will not return as the host of Farmer Wants a Wife Season 3. The country music star has hosted the past two seasons. Kimberly Williams-Paisley is taking over as the house.
“I enjoyed being myself in this show, which was a new experience for me with my first unscripted series. Because I’m a city girl who embraced the country life when I married my husband twenty-one years ago, I related to the allure of a farmer for these ladies. I really appreciate how dedicated this show and its producers are in helping these hopeful farmers and women find love,” Williams-Paisley said in a statement.
Michael Thorn, President, FOX Television Network, added: “We are thrilled to have Kimberly Williams-Paisley take the reins as our new host. Given her wonderful presence as a talent and person, not to mention her unique love story, Kimberly is a perfect fit for this role and our network.”
Who is still together from Farmer Wants a Wife Season 2?
The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife ended with two couples still together. Mitchell Kolinsky and Sydney Errera remain in a relationship after the final decisions, as well as Nathan Smothers and Taylor Bedell.
Brandon Rogers chose Grace Girard at the end of the season. However, after spending time together outside of the show, they realized they were better off as just friends. They announced their breakup during the Season 2 reunion episode.
Meanwhile, Ty Ferrell didn’t choose anyone and ended things with both Megan Lay and Melody Fernandez. In a post-Season 2 interview, Ferrell revealed that he has kept in touch with Lay. The Missouri native also admitted that he received backlash from fans for not making a choice between his final two women.
“It was tough the day after [the finale] reading all the things because I was portrayed in a way that I don’t feel like is me,” he shared. “I never thought I would be somebody on TV that was basically polarizing,” he told LancasterFarming.com.
