Barry Keoghan has revealed that he underwent cosmetic treatments as he continues to focus on his skin and appearance. The Oscar-nominated actor recently shared his experience during a skincare session with facialist Nilam Holmes, who revealed that he has undergone two XERF treatments at her clinic.
Barry Keoghan confirms two XERF skin-tightening treatments
Holmes shared an Instagram video on October 23 showing Keoghan receiving XERF treatment. The non-invasive procedure uses radiofrequency technology to tighten and lift the skin. Keoghan explained that the sessions had become a relaxing part of his skincare routine.
“Every time I come in, it’s very relaxing and therapeutic,” the Dunkirk actor said. He also credited Holmes with helping improve his complexion. “I feel better about myself. I look better,” he added.
Holmes revealed that Keoghan had undergone the treatment twice at her clinic. The two sessions reportedly cost £4,500, equivalent to approximately $6,000. She said she had cared for his skin across multiple films, campaigns, and projects.
“I’ve been working with Barry for a while now,” Holmes wrote in her Instagram caption. She added that his trust meant a lot to her. “His skin has really improved over the last few years and he looks great,” she continued.
Keoghan’s cosmetic treatment comes months after he spoke about the impact of online abuse. “There’s a lot of hate online,” Keoghan told SiriusXM host Ben Harlum in March. “It’s made me really go inside myself, not want to attend places, not want to go outside,” he explained.
The actor also admitted that the situation was becoming difficult to manage. “And I say this being absolutely pure and honest to you,” he said. “It’s becoming a problem,” he added while discussing the emotional impact.
Keoghan previously addressed comments about his appearance while promoting Saltburn in 2024. “It’s nice not just being looked at as the weird-looking guy,” he shared. He also insisted that his looks had not determined his success, saying, “My prettiness didn’t get me this far.”
