Brand New Day Has Already Broken 2 Major Records Before Its Even Released

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is already making history, months before its theatrical release. The upcoming Marvel sequel has broken two major records, highlighting the massive anticipation surrounding Tom Holland‘s return as the web-slinger.

What records has Spider-Man: Brand New Day already broken?

Sony Pictures has already released multiple trailers for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which hits theaters across the globe on July 31, 2026.

The first trailer generated 718.6 million views within 24 hours and hit 1 billion views in just four days. This made it the most-viewed trailer in history to hit that many views in such a short time. According to WaveMetrix, the trailer has now surpassed 1.1 billion views.

The upcoming web-slinger movie set its second record with the release of its second official trailer. This trailer gained 590.8 million views in its first week, becoming the second-biggest trailer launch of all time.

Holland’s fourth Spider-Man standalone movie will see: “A forgotten Peter Parker lives alone as a full-time Spider-Man until mounting pressure triggers a dangerous change and a powerful new enemy emerges.”

The movie is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and will see the return of several cast members from previous films, including Zendaya and Jacob Batalon. Audiences are also eager to learn which character Sadie Sink is playing. Other cast members include Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo.

Following Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the next MCU movie will be Avengers: Doomsday, which is being directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. Whether or not Tom Holland is part of the ensemble cast for that movie remains to be seen, as he has not been officially announced to be part of Avengers: Doomsday, though rumors have circulated that he might show up.

Avengers: Doomsday arrives on December 18, 2026, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027.
