The second season of the hit Showtime revival Dexter: Resurrection is already deep into production, with nearly the entire cast lineup officially revealed. But over the weekend, producer Scott Reynolds dropped one final surprise for horror fans on social media: legendary genre icon Kane Hodder is set to appear in Season 2!
For horror audiences, Hodder needs little introduction. The veteran actor, stuntman, and special effects performer became synonymous with Jason Voorhees after portraying the masked killer across four entries in the Friday the 13th franchise: Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan, Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, and Jason X.
Beyond Crystal Lake, Hodder carved out a second horror legacy as Victor Crowley in Adam Green’s Hatchet series, and in 2017, Hodder’s remarkable life and career were chronicled in the acclaimed documentary To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story.
Now, the horror legend is preparing to take on another serial killer universe in Dexter.
In addition to Hodder, Paramount+ recently announced that Brian Cox will join the season as “The New York Ripper,” Uma Thurman will reprise her role as Charley, and Dan Stevens will play “The Five Borough Killer.” Bokeem Woodbine (Devil) and Nona Parker Johnson (Fear the Walking Dead) also star.
From Emmy-nominated showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips, the series stars SAG and Golden Globe winner Michael C. Hall (Dexter, Six Feet Under) in the titular role of Dexter Morgan.
Season one of Dexter: Resurrection is available to binge on Paramount+ with the Paramount+ Premium Plan.
