Taylor Frankie Paul‘s ongoing legal battles took another turn this week. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star secured a courtroom victory after a judge ruled in her favor. The case involved Cru Eaton, the roommate of her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.

According to People, a Utah judge granted Taylor Frankie Paul a continued stalking injunction against Cru Eaton. The judge found that Eaton intended to target the reality star through his actions. The ruling stems from a video Eaton posted on social media showing Paul arguing with her former partner, Dakota Mortensen.
During the Aug. 14 hearing, the judge found Eaton “acted with full knowledge of the vulnerability” when he shared the footage. “The court finds and concludes that was the intent,” the judge said. “That was the point, and he succeeded in that.” As part of the ruling, the court prohibited Eaton from posting additional videos of Paul. The judge also advised Eaton to remove the previously shared clip from social media.
The dispute began after Eaton uploaded a July 9 video showing a heated argument between Paul and Mortensen. In the footage, Paul questioned why Mortensen was filming her while he accused her of abusive behavior. During the exchange, Paul became visibly emotional.
One day after Eaton posted the video, Paul filed a civil stalking petition against him. She was initially granted a temporary stalking injunction on July 15 after a judge determined that stalking had occurred, according to court documents.
A source told People that the video showed Mortensen “berating his postpartum girlfriend” despite her asking him to stop recording. Another source, however, said people close to Mortensen believed Paul had avoided accountability and wanted to support him. Still, they questioned whether Eaton’s actions ultimately helped.
The latest ruling comes as Paul remains involved in multiple legal proceedings. She is currently in a custody dispute with Mortensen following mutual allegations of domestic violence. She also shares two children with ex-husband Tate Paul, who is separately seeking changes to their custody arrangement.
Earlier this month, a Utah judge also ruled that Paul had completed the terms of her probation stemming from her 2023 domestic violence case. As a result, her aggravated assault felony conviction was amended to a Class A misdemeanor.
Courts continue to weigh allegations from both Paul and Mortensen in ongoing legal proceedings. Neither side has fully resolved its claims.
