He’s opening the castle doors to everyday Americans, which means a bunch of average Joes are about to get a crash course in betrayal, deceit, and reality TV drama. The Traitors: New Blood is coming, and Alan’s castle may never be the same.
The Traitors: New Blood debuts with a supersized two-hour premiere
We can safely say that the dust has officially settled from Season 4 of The Traitors. Rob Rausch’s last-minute backstab of Maura Higgins is yesterday’s news. Now it’s time for everyday people to take their turn in the spotlight, and who knows? There might be some reality TV legends that are about to be unleashed upon the world.
“I’d like to formally invite you to the Traitors: New Blood, an all-new season of treachery and deceit, where I open my castle door to everyday Americans,” Alan teased in a new announcement video on Instagram.
“By order of the Traitors, your presence is requested,” he added.
NBC has been teasing this civilian-only season for months. According to a release from the network, they received over 60,000 applications from people eager for their shot at the game. Somehow, they narrowed it down to a lucky 22 players, and they’ll be making their reality TV debuts this fall.
Unlike the regular season of The Traitors, New Blood will air during primetime on NBC. They’re kicking things off on September 17 with a supersized two-hour premiere event, and it will stream on Peacock the following day for those who can’t catch it live.
You can watch it however you want, but whatever you do, just don’t miss it. If the celebrity seasons have already given us heartbreak, jaw-dropping betrayals, and Emmy Award-winning reality TV drama, imagine what everyday people with nothing to lose are going to do in that castle.
