Batwoman & John Wick’s Ruby Rose Says She’s Only Gotten One Acting Offer in Years

Ruby Rose recently claimed that she has only gotten one acting offer in years. The actress, who is famed for her Batwoman and John Wick performances, is set to make her return to the TV screens in the upcoming season of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.

Confiding in PEOPLE recently, the actress confessed, “I’ve had one script probably offered in three years — well, one meaningful script,” adding that it’s “so fine.” As it turns out, she is not planning a Hollywood comeback despite being a part of season 5 of the Fox reality competition series, joining 14 other celebrities to face military-style challenges in Malaysia.

Rose said that while she “really wanted” to compete on the reality show for many “different reasons,” that doesn’t necessarily signal her return to the entertainment industry. She said, “I don’t even know if I’m really back. I’m not as interested in being in the entertainment world as I — well, I actually haven’t ever been all that interested in it.”

Though she first broke out as a presenter for MTV Australia before making a name for herself in the U.S. through Orange Is the New Black in 2015, Rose still said, “Now I think I’m old enough to know that it’s not, probably, for me. And they don’t want me either.”

What has Ruby Rose starred in besides Batwoman and John Wick?

Rose is best known for two of her past performances: Kathy Kane in the superhero TV series Batwoman (2019-2022) and Ares in John Wick 2 (2017). Besides these, she has also starred in Orange Is the New Black, The Meg, and xXx: Return of Xander Cage.

In season 3 of Orange Is the New Black, she played inmate Stella Carlin, while in The Meg, she co-starred as Jaxx Herd, an engineering specialist in the giant shark action thriller.

Meanwhile, in xXx: Return of Xander Cage, she played the sharpshooting sniper Adele Wolff, while in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, she portrayed the underground tech and fighter, Abigail.

Furthermore, Pitch Perfect 3 saw her performing as Calamity, the leader of a rival musical group, and in SAS: Red Notice, she played Grace Lewis in the action thriller.

Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test can be streamed on Hulu.
