Below Deck Mediterranean star Nathan Gallagher is a wanted man after he allegedly fled Australia amid his domestic violence case.
According to The Daily Telegraph, police have issued an arrest warrant for Gallagher, who was convicted of assault causing actual bodily harm, choking and common assault at a hearing at Burwood Local Court in New South Wales, Australia, on Tuesday (September 1). Gallagher did not attend the hearing.
As previously reported, Gallagher was arrested on December 27 after allegedly assaulting an unnamed 29-year-old woman at a Sydney-area apartment complex the day before. He was charged with “assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally chok[ing a] person without consent, and common assault.”
While the police memo did not name the alleged victim, a corresponding court case listed Gallagher as the subject of an Apprehended Violence Application filed on behalf of fellow Below Deck cast member Gael Cameron, per Rolling Stone. Gallagher and Cameron share a young child.
Following Tuesday’s hearing, New South Wales (NSW) Police Force shared a mugshot of Gallagher on social media and asked the public for help in locating the fugitive.
“Have you seen Nathan Gallagher? A warrant has been issued for the 28-year-old’s arrest,” the statement read. “He is known to frequent Ermington and Melrose Park, and is believed to be offshore. Anyone with information into his whereabouts is urged not to approach him, but to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.”
Last week, Gallagher spoke out about the charges and his relationship with Cameron for the first time, telling Rolling Stone, “I’m not claiming I was perfect. I wasn’t. I made mistakes, and I will take responsibility for my own actions. But I will not accept being portrayed solely through one person’s account of a relationship when there is another side and evidence relating to it.”
He added, “I have contemporaneous video footage from the night in question, as well as messages and other records, which I believe provide important context.”
According to The Daily Mail, Cameron attended the hearing on Tuesday but declined to speak to reporters outside the courthouse.
