ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES: ORGANIC INTELLIGENCE Announces Theatrical Release, Debuts Exclusive Official Poster Ahead of San Diego Comic-Con: “After more than four decades, one of cult cinema’s most enduring horror-comedy franchises is back. Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence, the long-awaited fifth installment in the beloved series, premieres in select theaters this August. Alongside the theatrical release announcement, the production has unveiled the film’s exclusive official poster and confirmed its return to San Diego Comic-Con, where the film’s official trailer will premiere before a live audience.

Since its debut in 1978, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes has evolved into a cult pop culture phenomenon, spawning multiple feature films, a Saturday morning animated series, a Nintendo game, helping launch the career of Hollywood icon George Clooney, and earning generations of devoted fans. Now, the franchise returns with a fresh chapter that blends its signature offbeat humor with a modern satire of biotechnology and artificial intelligence.

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence will be released in select cities across the US beginning August 7th in major cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, San Diego, and others, and expanding to further locations throughout the month. Specific listings and links to purchase tickets will be made available soon. Please visit the official website (https://killertomatoes.com/) and official social media pages for upcoming updates.

Further details for the film’s post-theatrical release will also be announced soon.

In Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence, a young biotech prodigy develops a revolutionary genetically engineered vegetable designed to solve humanity’s problems. But when the experiment spirals out of control, it unleashes a new generation of killer tomatoes, setting the stage for another outrageous chapter in the long-running cult franchise.

The film features an ensemble cast led by franchise icon John Astin (The Addams Family), reprising his role as Professor Gangreen, comedy legend David Koechner (Anchorman), Academy Award nominee Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight), horror favorite Catherine Corcoran (Terrifier), comedy veteran Dan Bakkedahl (Veep), Myrna Velasco (Star Wars Resistance), Vernée Watson (Shrinking, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), Paul Bates (Coming to America), Zachary Roozen (Romeo and Juliet Killers), Samantha Bailey (Just Add Magic), and Noor Razooky (The Old Man).

Fans attending San Diego Comic-Con will be among the first to experience Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence during the franchise’s official SDCC panel on Friday, July 24 at 7:15 p.m. in the San Diego Convention Center’s Room 6A, where attendees will witness the world premiere of the film’s official trailer, see exclusive footage, participate in an audience Q&A, enjoy a special appearance by Norman the Killer Tomato, and have the chance to receive exclusive surprise giveaways.

Joining the panel will be moderator and Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence producer Michael Polis (Yo Gabba Gabba!), director David Ferino, Killer Tomatoes original creator Costa Dillon, and cast members Dan Bakkedahl (Veep), Myrna Velasco (Star Wars Resistance), Zachary Roozen (Romeo and Juliet Killers), Samantha Bailey (Just Add Magic), and Noor Razooky (The Old Man).

In addition to the panel, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence will be part of the Atomic Toybox Booth (#3917) on the main floor of the San Diego Convention Center. Attack of the Killer Tomatoes merchandise will be available, including posters, tomato plushies, clothing, skateboards, and more.

Members of the film’s will be doing autograph signings on the 24th & 25th at booth #3917.

“Attack of the Killer Tomatoes started in San Diego in 1978, and now it’s coming home,” notes Steve Peace, who co-wrote and produced the original 1978 film. “We made this one in the city that created it, and there’s no better stage for its return than the biggest pop culture weekend of the year.”

The panel is open to Comic-Con badge holders.

TALES OF MEDIEVAL HORROR #1-3: The Fool of Dorchester: “An anxious lord grapples with his sanity when he’s haunted by the ghost of his court jester during an epic siege. Tales of Medieval Horror is coming to Kickstarter, bringing a trio of standalone horror stories set in 14th century England to the platform. Tales of Medieval Horror #3: The Fool of Dorchester, is a Kickstarter exclusive title by Dan Tappan, Christos Pittas and Reed Hinckley-Barnes. The first two issues of the series will also be available in print for the first time, including stories like “Danse Macabre”, “Armor of the Wicked” and “The Bestiary.” It’s Dan Tappan’s first return to shortform horror since A Lungful of Brine: Nautical Horror Stories, which was originally crowdfunded on Kickstarter and then published by Afterlight Comics in Fall 2025.

The restless, indecisive Lord of Dorchester didn’t ask to rule a kingdom. Thankfully he’s got his best friend and loyal confidant, the wise court jester, to advise him through tough situations. But when the lord’s castle is under siege by a rebelling vassal, the Fool of Dorchester bravely cross the battle line to negotiate. Instead, he’s cruelly boiled alive and sent back as a pile of bones…

Under stress of siege and the devastating loss of his closest friend, the Lord of Dorchester’s fragile mind enters a pressure cooker as struggles to lead, taunted by the jingle-jangle of his dead jester friend dancing in cap and bells.

Can the lord rise to the challenge and rule like the man he’s supposed to be or is he destined to be like a fool himself?

Tales of Medieval Horror #3: The Fool of Dorchester is a 22-page one-shot in black-and-white. Combined with the two previous issues, that’s a total of 60 interior pages available.

To support the campaign for Tales of Medieval Horror #1-3: The Fool of Dorchester, head to Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dan-tappan/the-fool-of-dorchester-a-medieval-horror-comic
