Fans have finally gotten an update from Robert Pattinson about The Batman Part II production. His comments come amid reports that production on the highly anticipated film has been temporarily paused.
Pattinson was recently asked about the reported production pause. The 40-year-old said, “Yeah, we’re pausing for a little bit and then we’re going to figure it all out.”
The Batman Part II is scheduled to hit theaters in 2028. However, recent reports surfaced that production for the same has been temporarily paused due to some personal issues of director Matt Reeves. Although Pattinson described the pause as temporary, it remains unclear whether it will affect the film’s release date.
Robert Pattinson’s update comes as fans await more details about The Batman Part II
The Batman Part II was previously delayed because of the 2023 WGA strike. The script’s development also contributed to the delay. The Matt Reeves-directed film is currently scheduled to hit theaters on February 18, 2028.
The production pause has raised questions about whether the release date could change. DC Studios has said it is too early to determine whether the pause will affect the release date.
“Production on The Batman Part II has been temporarily paused while Matt Reeves focuses on a family matter. Matt has the full support of DC Studios, and we look forward to continuing the journey soon”, read the official statement from DC Studios.
Robert Pattinson is returning in The Batman Part II to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne, aka Batman. The cast also includes Scarlett Johansson, Colin Farrell, Sebastian Stan, Andy Serkis, Gil Perez-Abraham, Jeffrey Wright, Charles Dance, Jayme Lawson, Sebastian Koch, and Brian Tyree Henry. The plot and further details about the film are still kept under wraps.
