Palin shared Thomas’ announcement on her own Instagram Stories and added a personal tribute. “It’s with a shattered heart, but also deep peace Ron is with Jesus now,” she wrote. She also commended his strength, saying, “He fought so hard,” before adding, “Love never ends.” Her message reflected both her grief and her faith following Duguay’s death.
The tribute came just days after Palin posted a hospital photo with Duguay. The photo showed her holding his hand as he lay in bed while he reached toward her wrist. Palin had asked followers to keep him in their prayers, writing, “Prayers for Ron Duguay are appreciated.” She also shared three more pictures with a message about trusting God, even when the answer looks different from what she hoped for.
